Financial Aid Information

A student must earn 24 NEW credits by the end of summer school, to be awarded a PHEAA Grant next fall. Repeats, withdrawls, and incomplete courses do not count to meet this requirement. Students receiving federal assistance, i.e., PELL Grants, Stafford Loans, and College Work-Study must earn 21 NEW credits by the end of summer school. The same rules apply as above for state grants.

These credit requirements pertain to Full-Time students. Part-Time students must earn all of the credits that they enroll for each semester. Distance Education students must also adhere to the same rules each year. Undergraduate students must also have a 2.0 gpa once they have earned 60 or more semester hours to retain their federal financial aid. Specific questions may be addressed referring students to the
